What Makes a Good Mortgage Broker?

Many books and articles have been written about mortgage loans, and types of loans, and how to "get the best deal" on a mortgage loan. But very little has been written on the characteristics that separate a good mortgage broker from a not-so good mortgage broker.

Thankfully a nationally syndicated columnist and  consumer advocate - Jack Guttentag - has attempted to address this issue in a recent column he entitled "What Makes a Good Mortgage Broker?"

This is required reading for any consumer who in contemplating obtaining a mortgage loan.
